A treadmill workout to boost your metabolism

When using a treadmill, always ensure you have at least an incline of 1.5 as your base.

Every Treadmill will be different, so use this as a guide as to what level you should be at….

Think of it on a scale of 1 to 10 – at YOUR own level

Level 1 –  you are walking normally

Level 5 –  you are running at an easy, comfortable pace

Level 10 – you are sprinting as fast as you can! (Don’t fall off now!)

Your Workout:

Flat Incline (1.5)

Power walk for 1 min – Level 2

Jog  1 min – Level 5

Sprint 1 min – Level 9/10

Increase incline up to 3.5

Powerwalk for 1 min – Level 3

Jog 1 min – Level 6

Sprint 1 min – Level 9/10

Incline 4.5

Powerwalk for 1 min – Level 3

Jog 1 min – Level 6

Sprint 1 min  – Level 9/10

Incline 5.5

Powerwalk for 1 min – Level 2

Jog 1 min – Level 5

Sprint 1 min – Level 9/10

Incline 6.5

Powerwalk for 1 min – Level 2

Jog 1 min – Level 5

Sprint 1 min – Level 9/10

Keep going  up another incline until you can’t do any more, or there is no more inclines

Then go back down the flat ground level and

Power walk for 1 min – Level 3

Jog  1 min – Level 6

Sprint 1 min – Level 9/10

Do this workout either by the amount of time you have – 20mins, 30mins etc.

OR

Beg – 20mins, Intermediate 30, Advanced 45-60mins.

This type of workout is a great form of interval training, perfect for boosting your metabolism, burning fat, and building on your fitness.
